The Mandalorian™ – Two for the Road

Two For The Road

Art Notes

Grogu™ and the Mandalorian™ have had quite the adventure so far, and some harrowing and touching moments along the way, but up until now Mando’s rules and code are not to be broken even when it comes to the Razor Crest™ and especially not playing with the ship’s knobs. The simple gesture of Mando giving his charge his favorite distraction shows how far he’s come and how close he’s grown to his companion as this bonding moment solidifies their connection. To me this moment is a culmination thus far of this “lone wolf and cub” relationship….or even close to a father and son…

– Monte Moore

Key Points

  • Grogu plays hide-and-seek with Zero, the Protocol Droid, on the Razor Crest™.
  • The Razor Crest, Mando’s ship, is compared to a slot machine on Canto Bight™ – the casino planet explored by Finn™ and Rose Tico™ in Star Wars™: The Last Jedi – by Mayfeld™.
  • Burg™, the horned heavy, is a Devaronian – a sentient humanoid species first sighted in Star Wars: A New Hope’s famous cantina scene.
  • Three X-wing™ fighters attack Ranzar Malk’s™ space station and gunship as he was attempting to doublecross Mando. Mando, one step ahead, triplecrossed Ran by leading the New Republic fighters to him with a homing beacon.
