About Us

At Thomas Kinkade Gallery Monterey and Thomas Kinkade Gallery Carmel, we invite you to experience the enduring beauty and storytelling of Thomas Kinkade in the California locales that inspired many of his most beloved works.

Rooted in the traditions of community, family, and shared experience, our galleries continue Thom’s vision of “Sharing the Light” – offering collectors, visitors, and art lovers a meaningful way to connect with his art in person.

As we prepare to close both our Carmel and Monterey galleries on December 31, 2026, these final months offer a meaningful opportunity to visit, explore the collection in person, and purchase artwork from these special locations before our doors close. We encourage you to visit or contact one of our local galleries below while there is still time.

Our Story

A Gallery Experience That Brings Art To Life

We believe that experiencing Thomas Kinkade’s artwork in a gallery setting is truly unlike any other. Within our Carmel and Monterey locations, each painting can be viewed in its full depth, color, and luminosity – creating an emotional connection that cannot be replicated online.

Our knowledgeable Art Consultants are here to guide you, offering insight into each piece while helping you find artwork that resonates with your home, your memories, and your personal story.

Inspired by the Beauty Of California’s Coast

Few places held as much inspiration for Thom as the coastal communities of Carmel and Monterey. He often painted outdoors in these very locations, capturing the charm of seaside cottages, quiet streets, glowing sunsets, and peaceful gardens.

His plein air approach – shaped by the influence of artists like Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Vincent van Gogh – allowed him to translate real places into timeless, light-filled scenes. Today, many of these iconic locations can still be visited throughout the region, offering collectors a unique connection between the artwork and the world that inspired it.
