“Like a single sunbeam on a warm summer day, there is an exuberance and brilliance in a sunflower.” – Unknown The founder of our Studio, Thomas Kinkade, loved to explore the world around him. He never ventured anywhere without a notepad and a pencil in his pocket so he could sketch what he saw. What might Thom, or any artist from his atelier, capture on canvas if they were to ramble upon a huge sunflower field? The artists of Thomas Kinkade Studios pondered this question, explored some of our nation’s beautiful farmlands, and put paint to canvas to create Sunflower Fields. Imagine waking up every morning to bright sunshine and watching the sunflowers pivot to face the sun moving across the sky from east to west. The sounds of the metal windmill spinning as it pulls water from the well to feed the corn field, vegetable garden, grape vines, and sunflowers brings feelings of joy and relaxation to visitors. Even the cows grazing in the back pasture are enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Thomas Kinkade Studios Original Studies are exquisite works of art created by Thomas Kinkade Studios artists. These original paintings are the inspiration for the published Limited-Edition Art releases. Original Studies were lovingly created with hundreds of hours of research and brushwork applied to each one. Each Thomas Kinkade Studios Original Study has its own story to tell – some created solely with acrylic or oil paints, while others were painted using mixed-media art techniques. A Thomas Kinkade Studios Original Study comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that includes an archival catalog number and authorized signature which certifies its status as a Thomas Kinkade Studios original work of art. A tamper-evident hologram and signature plaque are affixed to each original, and these marks of authenticity are exclusive to these unique works of art.
